ISG are carrying out the 7million pound refurbishment of the Moss Side Leisure Centre. ACM Contracts have worked extensively with ISG over the years on various contracts including Universities, Hospitals and HM Prisons. ACM Contracts have been awarded the contract for the asbestos removal, internal demolitions and the extensive removal of the mechanical and electrical installations. Asbestos products within the building include both Licensed and Non-licenced products, including the ceiling above the pool, and asbestos insulation board (AIB) fire breaks between the pool and performance Gym. The demolition is primarily the removal of ceilings, partitions, fixtures and fittings, floor coverings and structural elements of the pool viewing balcony. The M & E includes all the associated boilers, tanks, ducts and pipework from the basement and roof top plant rooms including the complex removal of the ducting in the main service riser which runs uninterrupted for over 20m from the sub-basement to the roof.
